The role of pig B-ultrasound machine in improving sow productivity

Early detection of pregnant sows in pig farms and their elimination or re breeding can improve the productivity of pig herds, and the use of ultrasound machines for pigs plays an important role. Active pregnancy testing can be performed using a B-ultrasound machine in pigs. Ultrasound scanning can be performed as early as possible and can be accurately detected around 21-25 days after mating. However, it should be noted that sows may absorb embryos after 35 days of pregnancy. Therefore, a positive pregnancy test at 21-25 days does not guarantee that the sow will stay in the pig's body and bring the litter to full term.

High definition pigs use B-ultrasound machine to test pregnancy of sows

Due to the possibility of false positive pregnancy testing at 4-5 weeks of pregnancy, it is recognized practice to re-examine the pregnancy status of sows after 8 weeks of pregnancy. Again, sows with false pregnancy, infected uterus, estrus period, and pigs with mummified uterus all gave positive test results using Doppler machines. Some operators claim to be able to hear fetal heartbeat from 8 weeks, and even distinguish and count at a rate of 70-100 beats per minute. This is unlikely because the heart rate of piglets during pregnancy is about 200 beats per minute, which decreases as full-term approaches. If someone believes that 10-15 hearts will beat at this speed but not synchronously, then the sound is more like a cat's purring or an engine idling.
