Ascites is a common disease in small animals. According to the nature of the effusion, it can be divided into exudate and transudate. General clinical examination alone cannot determine the nature of the effusion, and abdominal wall puncture can easily cause peritonitis. Using B-ultrasound can not only observe the presence of effusion in real time and measure the amount of ascites, but also distinguish between exudate and transudate. Using animal B-ultrasound machine to explore the abdominal cavity of pathological model rabbits, diffuse irregular homogeneous liquid dark areas were found in the abdominal cavity, and there were strongly reflective intestinal tubes floating in the dark areas. It can be diagnosed as ascites and transudate. If it is exudate, scattered light spots may appear in the liquid dark area. It should be noted that it is different from uterine pyometra. The B-ultrasound image of uterine pyometra shows multiple limited and regular liquid dark areas. According to the uniformity of the pus, there are different numbers of reflection light spots in the liquid dark area. Ultrasound diagnosis of rabbit hepatobiliary diseases by animal B-ultrasound machine
Liver abscess, hematoma, cirrhosis and fatty liver present their own specific sonograms on ultrasound images; gallstones appear as strong echo masses on animal B-ultrasound machine images. In addition, animal B-ultrasound machine can also guide liver puncture examination, so as to achieve the purpose of timely and correct diagnosis of diseases. Deng Ping (2003) et al. conducted hepatobiliary ultrasound tomography observations on several dogs, described the ultrasound imaging characteristics of liver parenchyma, hepatic vein, portal vein, gallbladder and bile duct, and measured some ultrasound data of normal dog liver and gallbladder, providing reference image data for clinical diagnosis of hepatobiliary diseases
Ultrasound exploration of rabbit liver and gallbladder, the sonogram of healthy rabbit liver and gallbladder is basically similar to that reported by previous researchers. Ultrasound exploration of the liver of pathological model rabbits found a liquid dark area with scattered light spots in the liver parenchyma, indicating liver abscess, which is used as the basis for diagnosis of liver abscess.
