Veterinary Ultrasound pregnancy diagnosis generally uses rectal exploration, removes feces in the rectum, and applies a small amount of coupling agent to the 10 MHz linear array scanning probe. Then, insert the probe into the rectum and close to the rectal wall for fan-shaped rotation scanning, while observing the indicator sound image displayed on the fluorescent screen. There are different sonograms at different stages of the pregnancy cycle. In the early pregnancy sonogram, if there is a gestational sac in the uterus, it can be judged as pregnancy. In the middle and late stages of pregnancy, if the fetus, fetal heart beat, fetal fluid or placental disc is observed, it is judged as pregnancy. If a non-pregnant uterus is observed, it is judged as an empty pregnancy. At the same time, if the fetal heart beat is observed, it can be judged as a live fetus.

Pregnant animals should be monitored regularly by veterinary ultrasound in the late pregnancy, and different imaging manifestations will appear at different stages of the pregnancy cycle. In the early stages of pregnancy, the image of the gestational sac is mainly observed. As long as there is a gestational sac in the uterus, it can be determined as early pregnancy. In the middle and late stages of pregnancy, the images of the fetus and cotyledons are mainly observed. Pregnancy can be confirmed by observing the images of the cotyledons and fetuses, and a live fetus can be determined by observing the fetal heartbeat at the same time. Timely understanding of the development of the embryo and fetus, early detection of abnormal pregnancy and signs of miscarriage, and timely and accurate treatment to improve the birth rate.

Pregnant animals detected by veterinary B-ultrasound machine should be isolated and raised in time to avoid miscarriage caused by mutual squeezing; empty-stomach female animals diagnosed in early pregnancy should be promptly supplemented or eliminated, which is of great significance to reduce feeding costs, improve breeding efficiency, prevent obstetric diseases, increase the survival rate of young animals, and accelerate the promotion of animal breeding.
