When using veterinary B-ultrasound to detect canine kidney disease, the following conditions will generally appear on veterinary B-ultrasound images.

The dog's bilateral kidneys will appear enlarged when measured on veterinary B-ultrasound, the entire kidney outline is unclear on veterinary B-ultrasound, the boundaries are not obvious, the renal capsule is not obvious, there are several cystic fluid dark areas in the cortex of the kidney, the entire kidney has organic lesions, the echo of the renal cortex is enhanced, the renal cortex is thickened, and sometimes several cysts of different sizes appear in the cortex of the left and right kidneys, and cysts also appear in the medulla of the left kidney. The nipple and cone are difficult to identify. The renal medulla is thickened, and no shadows in the renal pelvis are seen. The left kidney has more serious lesions, and most of the cortex is occupied by cysts; there are several small cysts on the cortex of the right kidney.

After veterinary B-ultrasound measurement, both kidneys will appear larger than normal. When a normal kidney is scanned with veterinary B-ultrasound, it appears bean-shaped, the renal capsule appears as a bright echo band, the renal cortex appears as a mottled echo area, the renal medulla appears as several echo-free or slightly weak echo areas, the center of the kidney is the renal pelvis, and the fat capsule around the renal pelvis is a radially arranged strong echo structure. The cortex of a normal kidney is uniform, and the medulla and renal pelvis are clearly visible.

From the veterinary B-ultrasound mid-directional energy Doppler scan, it can be found that the renal cortex is significantly thickened, the blood flow of the renal cortex is reduced, and even no blood flow can be detected. The renal medulla is thickened, there is little blood flow inside the kidney, there is no obvious fluctuation in the arteries and veins at the renal hilum, there are few blood flow signals in the kidney, and no shadows in the renal pelvis are seen. The renal pelvis and calyces are obviously deformed. The normal kidney has abundant color blood flow signals, and all levels of renal arteries can be displayed, showing a typical "branch-like" structure, with clear boundaries between the renal cortex and medulla and normal thickness. The renal pelvis and renal calyces are of normal shape and size and are clearly identifiable
