Fault Analysis of Crystal and Lens of Veterinary Ultrasound Machine

Repair of crystal damage, fault phenomenon: a black shadow is mixed in the veterinary B-ultrasound image detected at one time, and there is black strip interference. Analysis and repair: Most of the piezoelectric crystals are used inside the veterinary B-ultrasound probe. After long-term use, the crystal will naturally age. Irregular use or external force such as falling or bumping will cause damage to the probe crystal. After the crystal is damaged, the image detected by the veterinary B-ultrasound detector will show signal attenuation, black shadows, black bars, interference, defects and other blind areas in the image, which will make the doctor unable to diagnose, affect the quality of diagnosis, and even cause misdiagnosis.

This type of fault is caused by a short circuit in the veterinary B-ultrasound probe chip. The short circuit of the chip can be judged by measuring the power supply voltage of the chip. If the power supply voltage of a chip or chip group is lower than that of others, it can be judged that there is a short circuit in the chip or chip group. Replace the corresponding chip or chip group to restore the original characteristics of the veterinary B-ultrasound probe and eliminate the interference.

Repair of lens failure, fault phenomenon: vertical dark bars appear in the image of the veterinary B-ultrasound display. The vertical dark stripes on the probe were squeezed by hand, and the vertical dark stripes were significantly weakened. The vertical dark stripes disappeared after replacing the same model of veterinary B-ultrasound probe. It was initially judged that the acoustic lens layer and the matching layer might be debonded.

Analysis and maintenance: The acoustic lens is a colloid substance on the upper part of the veterinary B-ultrasound probe that contacts the animal body. After long-term use, the acoustic lens will be naturally worn, scratched, cracked, corroded, debonded, bubbled, etc., especially the corrosion caused by the use of inferior coupling agent entering the lower layer, which will not only cause artifacts or blind spots, but also lead to misdiagnosis by doctors. In severe cases, it will damage the crystal of the veterinary B-ultrasound probe or cause leakage, endangering the patient's physical safety and causing harm to animals and machines.
